The longer she sat there, the more she got pissed. Finally, after deciding she had nothing else to do, she jumped up and started walking around, she passed their campsite, when she didn't see Ali, she continued walking through the island, when she still couldn't find Ali she walked back through the forest and into the clearing, she stopped when she saw Rex and Weevil. She leaned against the nearest tree but didn't say anything, with her luck they wouldn't notice her standing there.

"You shouldn't wander around here alone," Rex told her, and Ali turned from Weevil to Rex. "Not at night I mean...do you...um, wanna come with us?"
"No." Ali and Weevil said together. They all stared at each other for a moment. Ali was first to speak, "Actually I'm going this way," she pointed over her shoulder. She hated to leave Kris and Bakura alone, but they weren't coming back soon so... "You guys could come with me instead."
"Maybe we don't want to." Weevil muttered.
"I want to..." Rex said softly. Weevil glared at him. "Can I, Weevil?" Rex asked.
Weevil sighed and turned away. He started walking in the other direction. Rex looked disappointed, and started to follow when Weevil said, "Go with her, I don't give a damn..."

Kris didn't say anything, she just watched the three of them while wondering more than ever why Rex would want to go with Ali.

(According to my series that never got started, let alone finished, Well Known Fact #76 is that Rex has a huge crush on Ali. ;D I love to drabble!)
Weevil watched the two leave. Rex didn't even look back. Weevil growled quietly, clenching his fists. Traitor! He wandered off alone.
Ali led Rex around the campsite. Joey already didn't like the boy, but he was kinda growin on Ali, so she didn't want to get him in trouble.
Deeper into the forest, Ali asked, "He doesn't like me much, does he?"
"Huh?" Rex looked up from Ali's waist, "Weevil? Oh, no, he's like that with everybody...there's sort of a wall, ya know?"
Ali nodded.
"I don't think he'll be speaking to me anytime soon, so tell him I'm sorry?" she asked.
"Sure," Rex smiled.

Kris watched Rex and Ali walk away, she looked at Weevil almost wanting to go talk to him, deciding not to, she turned and followed close behind Rex and Ali so she could hear the two of them. She wished more than anything that Rex would leave her, at least for a few minutes.

(I might have an idea...Kay you just have to have Adi wake up and follow Kris who is following Rex and Alli...It's like a TRAIN. But I want to do the whole Kris is pissed scene so yeah...I kinda need Ali to stop talking to Rex though.)
Kris mentally sighed as she continued listening to the two of them, hoping that Rex wouldn't have to explain the whole story to her. She needed to talk to Ali, and she couldn't really do that if Rex was around.

"We ain't been there that long," Rex said, and Ali had to bite her tongue to keep from correcting his grammar.
"We had to move after my dad died...about four years ago..." Rex went on.
"I'm sorry." Ali said. But she was right. Rex was shaping up to be a hard knocks graduate.
"We knew it was comin...he had this heart disease, and they tried to find him a match, but somethin went wrong during the transplant and..." Rex stopped there, but then shrugged and went on, "Mom didn't take it well...she's on all kinds of drugs now...quit her job so what little money she's got she blows on crack...my older sister had to give up on her college plans, she takes care of us now-"
"You have a sister?" Ali interrupted.
"Two." Rex said, "And two brothers."
Ali stopped walking and stared at him. That was a total of five kids!! With no dad and a dead beat mom. He wasn't just a graduate, he was the valedictorian!

(Aly - You keep stealing medical history that's been through my family ^^; First the leukemia and now the heart disese. My brother had a heart disese...Only it was a whole in his heart but same thing, he died whne he was two ^^  'He's got a bad life...' Kris thought to herslef, 'But so does half of the people on this planet.' she added to herself. She sighed, wishing that Rex would leave now. It wasn't like she was trying to get rid of him but she needed to talk to Ali...Preferably when no one was around. |

Adi hid behind a box and leaned out to see Kris. She wanted to have some fun. She picked up a small pebble and threw it at Kris's head. She snickered and turned back so she was behind the box again.
