hi all, Quick Question about the rule mentioned in the subject for this thread (its not in the rule section, but its in the description of the area where decks are posted, so i ASSUME its a rule. ) How come we're limited to 1 deck per character, when we know that characters in the anime are allowed multiple decks, or switch from one deck to another after certain moments in their dueling career? For example, Bastion in GX has 6 decks, Tania in GX has 2 decks, and Yugi, Jaiden, Kaiba, Zane, Joey, Chaz, infact, ALL the characters in both YuGiOh AND YuGiOh GX adapt their decks over time, due to either changing of rules, a change in personality, or "just feeling like it". Would it not be better to limit a person to a small pool of decks, say 3 decks or something (being allowed to edit a deck between duels, like a player would after playtesting their deck), and for them to put in brackets at the beginning of the duel which deck they're using, for instance, " (( I'm using Deck 1 for this duel ))" with each of their decks being numbered in the decks thread, so an admin or moderator can make sure there's no mid-duel card-swapping, e.g. Player 1(P1), "(I'm using Deck 1 for this Duel)" Player 2(P2), "I play Cyber Dragon, planning on attacking directly for the win!" P1, "...I activate Bottomless Trap Hole..." P2, "your deck 1 doesn't have it in!" P1, "....it does" P2, "*looks through decklist* ...no, it doesn't" P1, "...it does now.. >_> <_< >_>" Moderator, "*AutoLoss-hammers P1 for cheating*" P1, "....d'oh!"

The problem with allowing multiple decks though, well actually it's two sided now that I think about it, is the fact that the person with say three decks could easily mistake a card. Say in your example they didn't have Bottomless Trap Hole in their first deck. Player two goes to check and it's not there, yet Player one doesn't remove it from their post because they still believe it's there, we would have to disqualify them for thinking it's there when it's not, to later find out they had it all along in their second deck. Essentially meaning they got their decks confused just a bit.
Yes, it's their responsibility to check the cards they have before dueling, but being realistic, exactly how many people are going to look through whatever deck they're dueling with before the start of their turn to make sure they have the card first? I don't know too many people that do that now >.<
And it would just mean that the staff members would have to look through each deck very carefully, reading card descriptions and the likes to make sure the person doesn't have an insanely high level card that would be impossible to beat. And lets face it, as it is the staff members don't really have enough time to do that, check profiles, and hold down their life outside of the site. We have other things that as much as I hate to say it takes priority over the site and over reading through everything to make sure it's fair.
I don't believe there was ever a rule to state that you could not simply modify your deck after each duel. If you wanted to make some changes, that would be the perfect time to make said changes. There should be no reason to create a new deck when you can easily modify the deck you already have.
