Character Name: Kristina (Kris)
Character Age: 17
Character Gender: Female
Character Deck: Her main deck is a Dragon Deck, though her secondary deck would be Magicians.
Character Appearance: Kris is a rather simple girl in almost every aspect of her appearance possible, though there is some room for debate on this as for a few hidden facts about her (or at least almost hidden). But starting with her, for being only seventeen, Kris is at least 5'5" in height, so she's not the tallest person but she isn't the shortest person either, if anything she's average in her height. Though her weight is a bit below average as she's about 110 lbs on most occasions. She is for the most part all skin in bones (though there are some good reasons for why this is).
As far as looks, Kris has mid-back legnth brown with bangs to match, so that really isn't out of the average for her in the least bit. Her hair is quite honestly almost always down, she doesn't really do much to it mainly as she likes to complain because there isn't much she can do to it that will look good with the rest of her. She has sparkling blue eyes (or at least they are almost always sparkling) to match her brown hair.
Now, as far as her wardrobe, Kris has a really simple wardrobe for quite a few reasons (though they will be listed in her History). She wears a pair of loose fitting blue jeans almost on all occasions and a white or black sweater to match the blue jeans. There will be times she will have either a white T-shirt with a blue jeans jacket on, or a black T-shirt with a red hoody jacket to match. But the majority of the time she is content with a long sleeved shirt.
History: Kris didn't really have much of a good history as most people would be able to call it. Her family has been far too confusing. Even before she was born, her Father ran off to be with another women, thus forcing her mom to raise her on her own. And she did a good job, until Kris was three. When Kris turned three, her mom got remarried and the two of them moved into her step-father's home. Now for a while, while her mom was still around Kris had no problem with her step-father, in fact they all for the most part did live a rather happy life in almost every aspect. They had a nice house in a nice neighborhood. Everything was going great.
It was until Christmas night when Kris was ten that her mom and step-dad got into a huge fight in which case her step-dad pulled a knife on her mom and threatened to call Social Services to claim she wasn't a fit parent. He order her to leave the house, and she started to protest, saying she wasn't going to leave Kris. Now that's the point that he drew the knife. At this point, her mom had to leave leaving her ten year old daughter to stay behind.
For a few months, things were fairly good, except for the fact her mom wasn't there anymore, Kris was raised in the care of her step-dad. Everything was good perfect for her, at least until her step-dad got laid off from work. After that, the only times she really saw him were when he came her drunk from the bar (often bringing home a 'friend' for the night). And it wasn't until this started happening that Kris realized she needed to take care of herself. She did the best she could until the two of them were forced to move out of there house.
It wans't but when Kris was eleven that the two of them were forced into a small house in Domino. Here, things only got worse. The more her Father drank, the angrier he would get, and because he had no one else to take that anger out on, it often led to him taking that anger out on Kris in almost any way he saw fit. And because she was too young to do anything about it, and the fact she didn't know what to do, it seemed as though she was helpless.
It wasn't but when she was twelve, and having had no luck with making friends at her new school that Kris became isolated from everyone else. Though, that often meant she was stuck at home with her step-father, and that never led to good things. In fact, by the age of twelve, Kris had spent at least two weeks of that year inside hospital after hospital for multiple injuries. Injuries the doctors claimed to be Child Abuse. Though anytime they got a Social Worker to talk to her step-father, he managed to pull it off as though Kris was just a klutz and had gotten most of those injuries through school related activities. And because she knew what would happen if she said anything, Kris remained silent through these times.
Now by the time she started Middle School, Kris did manage to gain some new friends by the way of Yugi and his group of friends. Though there was one in that group that stuck out to Kris unlike all the others. Ryou. It wasn't like before Kris got closer to Ryou, almost to close for them to really be considered as 'Friends' anymore. Though, neither of them argued against this as both of them knew in the farthest corners of their minds that the other preson was simply filling in something that had never been there. In a way, the two seemed fit for each other.
Now the above could entirely be proven later on when for Kris' birthday Ryou ends up tracking something down that was supposed to have been a present for his sister Amane on her birthday before she died. And because he wanted to put it some use after all, Ryou ends up giving it to Kris with a note explaining the meaning of it. It was supposed to have been just a random gift he bought at a mall for his sister one day.
Though it was far from any regular gift Kris had ever seen. Though, she opened the gift up after Ryou had left that day to find it was just a simple watch. It was just a simple watch with a velvet band around the watch to hold it in place. But it was something that Kris was rather fond of, so for the most part she kept it with her at all times, it just got to be a force of habit for her.
It wasn't until late a night though - after a long trip to the hospital mind you - that Kris found it to be more then just a watch. What she found awaiting her return in the middle of the bed was the watch she had to take off earlier that day. But on the other side of the room was a transparent figure who went by the name of Umi. Her very own yami, with her very own Millennium Item to match. What more could she need?

Character Personality: Kris could be considered a rather intelligent girl for several reasons, though the main one is the simple fact she does the best that she can in almost anything she tries. She's not usually the type to easily give up on something, though that's not always the case. But at least she works hard and tries to excel in things she likes. For the most part, she does pretty good in school, though there will be some times she'll get worked up over really nothing, like if she goes from an A to a B she'll start freaking out. To say the least, Kris could be best described as a perfectionist.
Now outside of school, and outside of just her smarts, Kris could be described in quite a few different ways. With her friends she is a rather outgoing girl and is most of the time in a good mood and tries to cheer her friends up. Her reasoning behind this being she doesn't like seeng people upset about anything and does her best to please everyone she can, though that can often lead to a few problems. Now, back to being outgoing, Kris is most of the time willing to try something new as long as it doesn't cause any harm to herself or another person.
To go with this though, Kris is a very determined person. She does not give up easily to anything (especially Duel Monsters) she wants to be the best she can be and that means she has to be very determined and persistant. She can get easily angered if someone says or does something that hurts herself or another person, or if they do something that just ticks her off. If that's the case, and if she truely gets angry at someone she'll tend to go on a huge rant about it to let them know she's rather mad at them. When she does get angry at someone, it's very hard to really get her to calm down, so most of the time her friends would just let her be and let her cool down on her own.

Roleplay Sample: Taken from an old roleplay.
'So take me with you.' she could remember Ali's words exactly. It was the night they were going to Duelist Kingdom and the two girls were talking about Kris moving away right after Duelist Kingdom. They were talking about the two of them running away together.
Now as she thought more about it, Kris wished she would've said yes. The two of them could've left together, gone far away, away from everyone they knew. It would've been so much easier to just run away and avoid everything else. 'Running away isn't the answer...' there was always that little voice in the back of her head that told her she should do the right thing. Most of the time she just pushed that little voice off to the side, and then later on she would think about how that little voice was right. Typical.
"I wouldn't mind leaving everything else behind..." Kris muttered.
She was sitting on top of one of the hills on Duelist Kingdom. She was a little ways away from her friends (all in which were sitting around the campfire, most likely telling stories). "I could get off the island tonight...By the time they realized I was gone I would be halfway home. Then all I would have to do is find a plane to take me to America..." It was easier said then done. But it wasn't impossible.
"All I have to do is drop out of the tournament now..." but she was so close to the castle. She already had seven of the ten star chips she needed to enter the castle. Three more and then she could get inside. That meant the tournament was almost over.
But she couldn't stay. Not with You still on the island. Just knowing he was close by made her want to leave even more. She was far too pissed at him to really want to see him, or know he was anywhere near her. If she ever got to America she could get a restraining order on him. Yeah. She would leave her friends a note and tell them she was leaving. And tell them to tell You to not look for her. The only other person who knew You wasn't really himself was Ali. Everyone else seemed to think he was himself, which meant everyone else would be willing to talk to him (hell they were questioning her why she wasn't talking to him.).
As the last boat of the day pulled up to the docks to take the people who were leaving the tournament back to Domino, Kris slowly stood up. She turned and looked down the hill at her friends. She let out a deep sigh and walked down the hill in the opposite direction, toward the boat.
Forget leaving them a note. She would just tell one of the people down there to give the message to the others. Surely they would do that for her.
She paused when she reached the docks. Watching as the other people made it into the boat, she began to think if this was really anyway to solve any problem. "If I go there's no turning back...." she said a loud (people around her turned and looked at her like she was crazy).
Slowly, Kris walked toward the boat.
