"What are you doing?" Zane asked, crossing his arms in front of him.

Kylie stopped running, almost bumping into Zane. She back away from him, "Nothing!" she said quickly, she blinked, trying to think of an excuse, "I was sleep walking!" she turned away from him and managed a fake yawn, "I'm going back to bed." she said.

Kylie smiled, glad that for once he wasn't picking on her. She looked up the stairs, wondering what the odds of being able to escape would be. She would have to find out, or she would never know. Silently, she backed up the stairs.

Zane turned. "Did he tell you to back up?" he asked.

Kylie didn't reply to the voice, if at all anything she was tuning everyone else out. She couldln't stop now. Slowly, she reached the last step, her hand on the doorknob. She smirked and turned around to face Zane, "See ya." she said as she started turning the doorknob.
