(You guys are killing me ^^; The only site we seem to use much anymore is the Avatar site. So here's a new rp just for the sake of doing one. Oh the title came from the name of a song by Breaking Benjamin...I blame Travis, he got me into the band ^^; Watch this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=mabi3TTSDek and tell me what you think of the song...Just because ^^; Okay onto the rp!)
The bell right over the door of the diner rang out throughout the diner for what seemed to be the millionth time that night. Sierra mentally cursed and rubbed her temples. She'd been working a twelve hour shift because of the screwed up schedule for the week. And working twelve hours nonstop wasn't as fun as some might thing. Over the course of a few hours, she slowly started to get a headach which soon turned into a migraine.
"Hello and welcome to Madam Fudrucker's Roadside Diner..." Sierra said, forcing a smile. "Your waitress will be here shortly."
And with that, Sierra turned and walked behind the counter, quickly putting money into the cash register before grabbing her jacket, "See you later, Kris!" she called to her friend before disappearing out of the diner.
Once outside, she let out a soft sigh as she slipped on her jacket. Another long day of work. So this is what the real life was like. At age sixteen she had dropped out of school. And for what? To spend the rest of her life in that stupid diner working twelve hour shifts?
The only good thing about working so late was the fact that she got more money. That was about all she could think of being happy about. But still, it didn't seem like working there was well worth it. Going home late each night, working long hours, and only seeing her friends in the afternoon and early evenings because they were smart enough to not drop out of school.
As she walked toward the apartment building (which was only a few blocks from the diner), Sierra seemed lost in her thoughst. Though thinking was only making the migraine worse, but it was all she seemed to be able to do at the moment. Think. Think about what? Almost everything. About how she had screwed up her life in only a few short years, about how she rarely saw her parents, about how she no longer had much of anything that she used to have as a kid. Her mom did warn her though...Growing up wasn't easy.
When she was only a block away from her apartment, Sierra slipped through an alley way. It would be much easier to just walk straight across. Though with it being so dark, it seemed to be a foolish move. But it was too late to turn back. She was almost at the exit of the alley anyways.
