"She's not stupid...She's just different." Kris said. She looked at both Rex and Weevil. "Well...I suppose we should be saying nice to meet you and sorry for the whole running into you and what not..." she said. "So it's nice to meet you and we're sorry."

"Adi!" Ali snapped. She glared at her sister.
Rex's hand lingered on Ali's a moment, and then he found his voice, "No, it's our fault..."
"What?!" Weevil raised an eyebrow.
"That still doesn't give her the right t-" Ali started.
"Hey, Al, aren't those yours?" Kris asked, nodding toward the ground. Ali looked down. Half her deck was strewn across the hardwood floor. She sighed and knelt to pick them up. But some were unfamiliar. One stood out completely.
"Red eyes..." she whispered, staring at the card. The one dragon that had eluded her.
"That one's mine..." Rex said, and knelt beside her. Ali handed the card back to him but stared at him now with renewed interest.

Kris sighed and knelt down and helped the two of them pick of the cards. She watched as Ali handed the red eyes back to him. She only shrugged and after a few minutes she stood back up "It wasn't your fault. We shouldn't have been running." she finally said. (I had an idea  ) |

Ali shook her head. She wished she could assure them she was adopted. But then her breath caught in her throat. Rex's hand had just landed on her best card, the one she'd refused to show Adi and Kris. And he got the same look as everyone else. Ali glanced up. Weevil had it too.
"Hey! Where'd you get this? It's a-" Rex started but Ali grabbed the card away from him. The last thing she wanted was for her sister and best friend to find that card.
"It was a gift..." Ali said softly, shoving the card in her pocket with the rest, "From a friend..."

Kris looked from Ali to Rex still wondering what the card was. "Seeing as how, I know she won't say it, what was the card?" she asked Rex.

"Hell...I dunno...she usually tells me her card...what is it Al?! Pleasepleaseplease! TELL MEE!!!" Adi was now hanging off of Ali's arm trying to pry the information out of her.

Rex started to tell. But Weevil saw the pleading look in the girl's eyes. He punched Rex on the shoulder and gave him his best glare. Rex went quiet. Ali sighed.
"Seto." Ali snapped at her sister, "His name is Seto. And I'll have him beat up on you if you don't stop that!"
Both the other boys went stiff. Ali heard one of them draw in a sharp breath and looked up.
"Kaiba?" Rex asked, "Your friend is Seto Kaiba?"
"Boy-friend, actually, yes." Ali said. "But he didn't give me the-.......he didn't give that to me..."

Kris sighed, she knew her friend wouldn't tell. If she had managed to keep it a secret this long there would be no way to get the information out of her. "Lets go inside...We can continue our conversations inside." she said trying to change the subject.
