"I bet it is." Kris said, smiling.
"You guys comin' in or not?" Joey asked walking back outside.
"We'll be in soon." Kris replied. Joey sighed, muttering something under his breath before going back inside. Kris looked at Adi. "You can go in if you want." she said.

"Come ON!" Adi grinned, nudging Kris' arm. Kris gave in and followed Adi across the deck. The two girls turned to enter the door when a shadow fell over them and something landed in front of them.
Kris and Adi screamed. Adi's card blew from her hand again. And then they were facing Adi's sister Ali's smiling face.
"Sup guys?" she asked.

"I'll be right back..." Adi grumbled, climbing over the railing again. Ali watched her with a raised eyebrow.
"An-y-way...we were all getting kinda worried. You two coming in?" Ali asked.

"We were coming in until you jumped out of nowhere." Kris explained. "But yeah, as soon as Adi gets her card we'll be in."

"Card?" Ali cocked her head, "Aw, jeez..." She leaned over the edge of the boat and shook her head at Adi. "You really need to be more careful with those..." she muttered.
"Can't talk..." Adi growled, reaching for the card, "Busy...Can't reach..."

Kris smiled. "I think she has pretty good timing." she said leaning agianst the railing of the boat and started thumbing through her cards again, something she had managed to get in the habit of doing.

Ali reached in her back pocket and removed a stack of tattered cards. She handed them over to Kris but hesitated while letting go.
"Sorry," she muttered, "They're special..."
