(There's an E in it genius! And why everybody gotta rely on me?! I am NOT the natural born leader type!)
Chazz nuzzled Puppy. He blinked a few times and yawned. He sat up and stared at the clcok by the bed. It said 8:30. Weren't they supposed to leave at 6? Uh-oh... Chazz leaped out of bed and slid down the banister down the stairs. His stuff was still by the door in the living room. But his brothers' weren't. "Slaid! Jagger?" Chazz called. He ran into the kitchen and slid across the floor in his socks. No one here. No one anywhere. "Guys, if this is a joke, it's not funny!" Chazz yelled, "Mom's gonna be mad!" But no one answered. No joke. Chazz was alone. 'I can't believe they just ditched me...' he thought. This was low even for those two. Then he turned and saw the note on the fridge. He tore it off and looked it over. As he read it, his face lit up.
Meanwhile in Pittsburg, where the other two boys were meeting their parents, Mom was already mad. "You just left your brother there alone?!" she yelled at the airport. People were staring. Slaid was beginning to think this wasn't his best idea... "Mom, he said he could handle it!" Jagger said. "Chazz has never been on his own for more than a weekend," their father pointed out, "You know he can't take care of himself, Jagger." "But Dad, I-" Jagger started. "Dad, it was my idea." Slaid said, keeping his promise. "I told Chazz he could stay." "Slaid, I'd expect better judgement from you..." Dad said. "It's OK," Slaid said. "I left him a note. I told him how to reach us, where we'd be. He knows enough to call 9-1-1 if he totally wrecks something..." "Let's hope..." Jagger muttered.

(Just wait. What do teenagers ALWAYS do when they're home alone for a porlonged period of time?..)
Boarding the plane from Pittsburg to Chicago, Jagger grabbed Slaid's arm and pulled him away from their parents. "You think you did the right thing leaving him there?" he asked. "You and Mom, you guys need to relax." Slaid said, "Chazz can handle things better than you give him credit for. And Dad-" "Dad will kill us if anything happens to him..." Jagger whispered. "Just chill, Jay," Slaid smiled, "I'm sure he's doing something constructive..."
OK, so stuffing his face with junk and falling asleep on the couch watching 'Die Hard' wasn't exactly constructive, but it was better than being on a plane with his family headed for the Windy City. Chazz couldn't believe his luck! He owed Slaid big after this. He still couldn't figure out how he convinced Jagger to let him stay. But being alone for a change was great. For starters, he didn't have to share the remote or anything else for that matter with anyone! And he could stuff his face now with stuff he normally had to sneak down to the kitchen at two AM to get. Ice cream cartons, pizza boxes, potato chip bags, squeaze-cheese tubes, and cookie tins already littered the living room floor. The best part was there was no one there to tell him no.

(House party!)
"It's not that bad!" Kylie said as she managed to rest the phone on her shoulder and pick up the remote to her stereo. "I mean it's not like I'm going to do anything bad. My parents would kill me if I threw a party...Or invited you over for that matter..." "I thought your parents loved me." Atticus said from the other end of the phone. "They do it's just that they don't like me having people over when they're not here." Kylie replied as she flipped through radio stations. "But in three days you can come. They'll be back in two days and the next day they won't mind if you're here." "Where did they go anyways?" Atticus asked. "Michigan," Kylie replied. "They went up to a friends wedding and took my brother with them." "And they trust you to be home alone?" Atticus asked. "Of course. They've trusted me since I was eight. But I'll talk to you later...I've got to finish cleaning the house." Kylie said. "Okay." Atticus said and with that the two of them hung up the phone. Kylie smiled as she finally decided on her Linkin Park CD. She turned the volume up as loud as it would go so she could hear it throughout the entire house and left the room, returning to the kitchen to finish mopping.

(lol But your parents love me....where is this going? They can't BOTH have a party...)
"Want me to wake him up?" "I don't think you should..." "Can I do it?" "No! You'll do it mean..." Zane, Jaden, Syrus, Atticus, and Gracie stared down at Chazz asleep on the couch. He'd totally trashed the living room last night, and they wondered why his brothers weren't down here chewing him out. "Here, I'll do it..." Gracie knelt down beside him. She nudged his arm and whispered, "Chazz? Come on sweety, wake up..." Chazz came around and looked up at them. Gracie kissed his cheek and said good morning. "The hell...how'd you guys get in here?" he mumbled, sitting up. "Door's unlocked." Atticus smiled, "Great housekeeper you are, C..." "My bad..." Chazz blushed. "So where's the brothers grim?" Zane asked. He and the others were circling the room to check the damage now. Chazz and Gracie were on the couch. "Chicago, with my parents," Chazz said proudly. "You mean they left you here alone?" Jaden asked. "Yup!" Chazz grinned. "For a whole week." "Hey, Chazz," Syrus said, picking up an Oreo package, "I thought you said you were never gonna eat nacho cheese and oreos at the same time again..." Chazz raised an eyebrow. "Why?" "You said they don't mix." Syrus said. "When?" Chazz asked. "New Years," Syrus said, "When you did it last time and ended up puking your guts out." "Yeah!" Jaden laughed, "You were in the bathroom all day." Chazz stood up and got nose to nose with Syrus. "OK, listen you-" he stopped in midsentence. He felt like his stomach just got turned inside out. Green faced and holding his stomach, he disappeared down the hall. "Told ya..." Syrus muttered. "I'm not sure his brothers were too bright leaving him here alone..." Gracie said. "It's Chazz. He's gonna get in some kinda trouble..." Zane said. "Wait you guys..." Atticus just remember Kylie. He smiled. "We could use this to our advantage..."
(OK, see where I'm going? Kylie's party, Chazz's house. There ya go.)

(That's a damn good idea)
"Stupid wet floor!" Kylie yelled as she attempted to run toward the now ringing phone from the kitchen. She failed miserably and tripped halfway out of the kitchen. She stood up and muttered something about should've finished cleaning after she got off the phone with Atticus the previous night. She had started to clean but got tired and spaced out and then decided to watch a movie instead which turned out to be a bad idea after she fell asleep on the couch. She reached the phone and picked up "hello?" "Kylie?" "Oh...hi mom..." Kylie said "sorry I was trying to mop the kitchen and fell...." Kylie said as she leaned against a wall. "I thought you were-" her mom puased and sighed. "Nevermind. Can you do me a favor? Can you go to the store tonight? I don't think there is anything you can have for dinner tonight or tomorrow. And we might be a little late getting home. Apparently we're getting bad enough weather to make it so the planes take off. Something about tornados. We'll see what happens but get enough for three more days, okay?" "Okay." Kylie said, she spent a few more minutes on the phone with her mom before finally hanging up. She let out a sigh. Just great. Well so much for seeing Atticus in two days. Or anyone else for that matter. She returned to the kitchen to finish mopping.
(She doesn't know about the party idea yet for the record)
